Mission
The mission of Star Academy is to prepare students for the world of work by emphasizing the importance of doing their best, understanding that they will be life long learners, and encouraging them to attend college or trade school.
Our goals are to:
- Provide students the opportunity to catch up with their peers by earning up to eight Carnegie Units toward graduation
- Provide assistance in reducing the number of dropouts by motivating students to higher levels of achievement through relevant academic courses
- Provide career guidance for prospective students
- Assist students in determining an occupational or career choice
- Invite business and industry to discuss strategies for success
- Evaluate current programs and create new programs to better meet the needs of students and community
- Develop proper work attitudes, safety habits, and work relationships in the workforce
