Letter from Principal           

Hello Slater-Marietta Community,

Allow me to begin by saying that I am very excited and proud to be the new principal of Slater-Marietta Elementary.   I am looking forward to working with a community that supports the students, staff, and school as much as you do. 

I have been the principal of North Canton Elementary School in Haywood County, North Carolina for the past 6 years.  I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Middle Grades Education from Appalachian State University and Master’s in School Administration (MSA) in addition to an Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S) from Western Carolina University.  I love the opportunity to learn, and sharing my excitement for learning with everyone around me.

As we begin a new and exciting school year, I want you to know that I want to serve you to the fullest of my abilities in making Slater-Marietta Elementary a Great Place to learn.  If there is anything that I can do to be of assistance, please stop by the school, call, or e-mail me at jfmorgan@greenville.k12.sc.us.  I look forward to working with each of you.
