Web Awards

At Skyland Elementary, we are honored that our school web site has received the Webmaster's Choice Award for six years. Winning the Webmaster's Choice Award is highly competitive. It is in recognition of the professional design and content of our school web site. The award is presented to web sites whose web design, originality and content have achieved levels of excellence deserving of professional recognition by Greenville County Schools.  Superintendent Fisher said, “These winning websites focus on students and student work. School websites provide a great showcase of the fine achievement of students and a tribute to the excellent work of teachers. The web is a terrific way to tell our community of the good work that happens every day in our classrooms." Greenville County Schools webmaster John Woggon added, “Good websites are packed with solid content that displays the character of the school and the best achievements of the students. I’m convinced the reason for the substantial increase in site visits is the tremendous increase in student content.
