As the
school year is progressing, the
administration has noticed the large
number of students that are tardy to
school each day. During the first nine
weeks, Mrs. McAfee, our attendance clerk
informed us that there were over 1, 400
tardies to school. That number is
unacceptable as we are striving daily to
create an environment that enhances
learning for all. Research shows that to
fully benefit from the instructional
program, students are expected to attend
school regularly, be on time for
classes, and satisfy all course
requirements. Poor attendance or
excessive tardiness will result in
failing grades. Therefore, we are asking
all parents to make sure that each child
is on time to school and attends on a
regular basis. To decrease tardies and
improve our overall student attendance
rate we are implementing an incentive
based program.
