The President's Message
Your PTSA has been planning over the summer and we are going to
have a great year at Southside High. One exciting change this
year will be with the school store. We plan to offer some
healthy snack options for our students that are as delicious as
they are nutritious. In addition, we will have food
demonstrations that will show just how easy it can be to make a
yummy, healthy snack at home. We will offer samples so students
may taste and rate new snack items. If you have an idea for the
store, please let Amy Brewer know. Her contact information is in
the PTSA Contact list in this newsletter. We also need
volunteers to make sure the store is open every morning and at
lunch. If you can take a shift, please let one of our Volunteer
Coordinators know.
Another primary goal of the PTSA this year is to keep you
informed. Six issues of Tiger Tales will be mailed to your home
and e-mailed to you (if you provide us with your e-mail
address). In addition, we will send out periodic e-blasts with
late breaking news to all families that provide an e-mail
address. I am honored to serve as Southside High’s PTSA
President this school year and would very much like to hear from
you – what is working and what needs attention from the PTSA?
Please call or e-mail me if I can help you in any way.
