REFLECTIONS UPDATE! Katie Ann Day has taken first place in Visual Arts- Intermediate at the state level! Way to go, Katie! MIDDLE SCHOOL REGISTRATION: Fifth
graders use the laptops to register for related arts classes next year.
HONOR CHOIR: Oakview's honor choir students did a
great job in S.C. Children's Honor Choir in Charleston for the SC Music
Educators Convention Feb. 10. It was packed with parents and
grandparents! The students were auditioned by tape, and were part of the
choir of 239 kids from all over the state. Congratulations to Anna N.,
Matthew B., Loriann M., and Sarah Emily B.
ROBOTICS TEAM WINS!: The Oakview
Nano Limit Busters Robotics Team won the Director's Championship
Award taking first place in the South Carolina FIRST Lego League
competition held at the University of South Carolina on Saturday,
January 27th. They competed against 60 other Lego teams from area
elementary and middle schools across South Carolina. Their first place
win ensures them a spot in the World Championship in Atlanta,
Georgia in April.
JUNIOR ROBOTICS TEAM WINS!: The
Junior Robotics team attended the South Carolina FIRST Lego
League competition in Columbia and won an award for teamwork. The
competition was focused on Nanotechnology Size.
