ATTENTION PARENTS OF RISING SIXTH GRADERS
Make sure to check the Guidance page with more information about Middle School Curriculum Nights and Course Catalogs for 2012-2013. Online Student Registration for students currently in grades 5-11 will take place February 13 – March 16.  For current 5th grade students registration will be February 27-March 1.  Prior to registration, parents can view the different middle school course catalogs on our website.  Parents without Internet access at home may request a printed copy of their future middle school’s course catalog by contacting the guidance department.

35th ANNUAL REEDY RIVER RUN- March 2-3
All races are $12 if you sign up with Oakview Elementary.  Family members or neighbors that want to sign up can do so using our registration. Students and families can sign up for the Great Youth Mile, 5K, or 10K races.  Please complete the registration form and make checks out to Oakview Elementary. Completed forms and payment are due to Coach Miller by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 10th.  Feel free to wear your Oakview t-shirt (tie-dye) to the race!

PETER PAN
You won't want to miss seeing the first Oakview Players' production! Over 70 students will be performing in "Peter Pan" on the Mauldin High School stage Feb. 23, 24, 25.  Tickets are $3 each. Get your ticket before it's too late! Order forms can be downloaded here.

INVENTION CONVENTION- FEBRUARY 28-29
The 2012 BI-LO Invention Convention is open to students in grades 4-8. There will be cash prizes up for grabs!  Plus, there will be a $1,000 scholarship given by BI-LO. Registration deadline: MONDAY, FEBRUARY 20th. Click here for more information.

A.R.M.E.S., ARTS REACHING MIDDLE AND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
A.R.M.E.S. is a tuition-free program for gifted and talented students in 4th through 8th grades who live in Greenville County.  Any interested student must first be nominated for the ARMES program. Parents, adults, peers and self nominations are accepted. The on-line nomination process will be available February 1 until April 20, 2012 for students wanting to audition for participation the next school year.  Click here for more information.
