Panther Pride Web Award

This is the ninth year that teachers have had their own websites.  Northwest Middle School was a pioneer school in Greenville County in making the connection between teacher and parent through the Internet a school-wide program. I developed an awards program to reward teachers for outstanding web presence. First, in 2001 with the Jayaruh Pretty Good Award, then in 2002 with the Jayaruh's Gold Web Award.

In 2003 I began the Northwest Panther Pride Award. It is presented to teachers of Northwest Middle School who show exceptional pride in the construction and maintenance of their teacher websites.

This year Mrs. Pratt's website received the Best of the Web award from Greenville County Schools.  She was one of ten middle school websites recognized for this distinction.

Currently, websites are judged for their completeness, timeliness, and student achievement.

We hope you find our teacher websites to be useful and informative. Please feel free to email your teachers with comments or suggestions on how they may improve their websites. Remember that this is a new experience for many and that educating your student takes first priority in the schedules of all our teachers. Teacher websites will evolve and get better as teachers get more comfortable with the technology.

Thank you for your patience and your interest in Northwest Middle School.
