Principals representing Greenville County Schools’ 83
elementary, middle and high schools convened at the Central Office today to
receive proceeds from the highly successful Are You Smarter than a
Greenville County Schools Fifth Grader fundraiser held in August.
Awards totaling $175,000 were presented, based on student
enrollment at each school, with checks ranging from $299 to $5,500.
Principals accepted their check from Superintendent Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher,
Herb Johnson, Michelin Director of Community Relations, their School Board
member, and Bibendum, the Michelin Man.
Mr. Givins received a check for $2199.95. This is to
be used for supplies such as paper, Promethean bulbs, etc.
