Northwest
does J.A. through seventh grade Social Studies. We will have it in the
spring when a business person comes once a week to teach the economics end of
the J.A. program.
Our Mission
Teach children the value of economics and free enterprise
Empower them with real world learning and
Inspire them to find their own success.
Our Organization
Junior Achievement was founded in 1919 in Springfield, MA The program was designed to help young people recognize how their talent and abilities can create better lives for themselves and those around them. Locally, JA has enriched the lives of over 110,000 children since the local chapter began in 1972.
Our In-School Programs
Junior Achievement has sequential economic education programs for all students grades K-12. These programs taught by local business volunteers and parents, supplement the existing social studies curriculum with hands-on learning activities.
