Teacher Web Pages
All teachers need to review this page about
Teacher Web Pages. Panther
Pride website awards will be acknowledged on this page.
Use this Teacher Website Rubric to
self-evaluate your website. It was developed by the district from a
review of the best K-12 school websites on the Internet.
This is the new login for new teacher website
administration,
http://staff.greenville.k12.sc.us/sites/<your UID>
Click on the link and then replace <your UID> with
your user ID. Same user ID and password as email.
Here is the manual for the new website program.

New Website Change Over tutorial for fixing pictures and
graphics that have been pasted in from old websites. When the old
websites are deleted, your pictures/graphics will no longer work if
you have not actually saved them in your new site. They will be gone
as well. Make sure your pics are located in your new site.
Send Big Files by the
Internet
You want to sent yourself or someone else a file,
but it is too big to attach to an email. Try this site:
http://www.yousendit.com/
You upload the file to their server (up to 1 Gig)
and send links to whoever you want to share the file with. The file
stays on the server for seven days and is then deleted.
Standardized Meeting Form
Mr. Givins has approved a
standardized meeting report to be used for Team, Grade Level,
Department, Faculty, Vertical, and MYP meetings. The form
was designed and created by the Continuing Improvement Committee.
It is to be completed for each meeting held and a copy placed in Mr.
Duncan's box in the main office.
An
Excell,
PDF,
and Word versions of this form are here.
Use the PDF form to
write on. Transcribe to the Word version to email Mr. Givins.
Classroom
Observations
As a means to make things
more efficient the district has a program that allows you to go online
to see your classroom observations. The way it works (supposedly) is the
administrator does the observation and then puts the findings in the
program. The employee, you, then goes to http://sets.greenville.k12.sc.us/setsgc/sets_auth.asp
You will log in and then,
when asked for your employee ID, you put in your Employee
NUMBER. At this point you should be able to read what the
observations say.
MYP
Unit of Study
Again this year we
will be using the MYP Unit
Plan. It is a fill in the blank and x the box plan. It has start and est. end dates for your unit.
Take a peek at http://www.glencoe.com/sec/teachingtoday/downloads/pdf/sub_info.pdf as
you think about returning to Northwest and have all that paperwork with
which to deal. This site has a packet of handouts for your substitute
teacher folder. All you have to do is fill in the blanks. There are
other great resources on these pages from McGraw-Hill and there's no
need to reinvent the wheel. http://www.glencoe.com/sec/teachingtoday/downloaddepot.phtml
Check
your certification status here.
Colleagues,
I'm sure many of your know about this
website already, but for those who do not it is a very user-friendly
site with a large variety of rubric types. Here's the address: http://www.teach-nology.com/web_tools/rubrics/.
Hope this is useful!

materials. Design technology and computer technology are both
rooted in the MYP design cycle. The examples in this section show
how adhering to the principles of this cycle can help teachers in
developing materials appropriate for students of all ages during the
