March 29, 2011
For our March meeting, members of the Beta Club gave up their regular meeting place, the cafeteria, to the NWMS Honor Band who is preparing for its trip to Chicago. Good luck, Honor Band. Make us all proud.
The March meeting of NWMS Beta Club met on Thursday this week. Our guest speaker, Claudia Burns, presented an opportunity for Beta Club members to make an impact on their community. Ms. Burns, as director of North Greenville Food Crisis Ministry, is heading up a move to a new location for the organization. The relocation costs will be met by donations and this is where Beta Club students can step up to the need. Beta Club members intend to sell paper Panther Paws to their fellow students and inscribe them with the contributors' names. The money from the sale will be given to the North Greenville Food Crisis Ministry and the Paws will be displayed in their office. Beta Club members are still deciding if they want to make this effort a contest and how to work out the details. See more...
