Cheerleading
All rising 7th and 8th graders interested in trying out for the 2014-15 NWMS cheerleading team must attend a mandatory parent meeting Thursday, April 10th at 6pm in the cafeteria with their parent or guardian.  Any questions see Mrs. Christy.Cheerleading Tryouts are April 28, April 30, May 1, and Finals Roster decisions will be made on May 2nd. Practices and tryouts will be after school from 3:45-6. Final Roster Team meeting with Parent/Guardian date to be announced.


Northwest Middle All Star Players
sam and alexisSam Crain and Alexis Guthrie were selected as the Male and Female All Star Players for Northwest Middle School.  They were recognized during the All Star game at Hillcrest High School on March 14.


PTA Mud Run
mudPTA will be hosting our first annual Mud Run.  Mark your calendar now. This will be held at Beechwood Farms on Saturday, May 10th beginning at 8 AM. Information and registration forms will be coming home soon with your child. Volunteer information will also be coming home soon. This run will serve as our spring fundraiser.


7th Grade Immunization
needleAll rising 7th graders are required to have an updated Tdap vacccination for the 2014-15 school year. The vaccination will keep tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough away! Help keep our school safe and healthy by getting your student vaccinated.


SC State Wrestling Championship
benCongratulations to Ben Dodd for being the 100 lb Greenville County Wrestling Champion and placing 2nd in the same weight class at the SC Middle School State Championships.


Tennis Team at State Capital
tennisCongratulations to Bethany Tankersley, Zayn DeAndrade, and Addie Townsend, members of the Travelers Rest High School Tennis Team. The tennis team was recognized at the SC State House on March 27th for winning the State Title in Girls' Tennis. Bethany, Zayn, and Addie are pictured here with State Senator Tom Corbin and Representative Mike Burns.


Thank You to PTA
We would like to thank the the PTA of Northwest Middle school for all the support they continue to give us. This year they raised money to buy the school a Nook HD Lab that is already being used in classrooms. Click here to read the article in the TR Tribune.


Miss Panther
Mr. McDonald with Miss PantherCongratulations to all the contestants in the Miss Panther contests. All of the young ladies did a fabulous job. Abbey League was crowned Miss 6th grade. Madison Crymes (pictured to the right) was crowned Miss 7th Grade. Miss 8th Grade was Bethany Tankersley and Hailey Heath was crowned Miss Panther. Good job!

Spirit wear is for sale in the school store. T-shirts are $10.00 and cups are $2.00. You can save money and buy and t-shirt and one cup for $11.00 or 4 cups for $6.00. The sale of these items support Panther athletics. Show your Panther Pride and buy a shirt to wear to your favorite Panther sporting event.
