Volleyball team plays first playoff game at Ralph Chandler this evening.

The 3rd Annual Reading Rivalry begins today! Read 500 pages for your favorite team- Clemson or Carolina over the next 4 weeks. Turn in a reading log to the Media Center. The team with the highest participation can wear their team colors on Tuesday, November 25th.

History Club meets from 3:30-5:00 on Tuesday in the Media Center.

Seventh and Eighth grade girls interested in playing basketball should meet with Coach Johnson school on Tuesday after school.

The due date for Reflections entries has been extended to October 24.

ACE Award Nominations

ACE AWARD(Advocates for Character and Education) nominations are open. This annual award is given to sixty-six male and female students from each of the thirty-three, Greenville County middle and high schools. This award is designed to honor those who often are not recognized for their accomplishments or contributions to community, church or school.

Anyone who would like to nominate one of Northwood’s 8th grade boys or girls, please submit a form at www.c4aceawards.com. Northwood staff can find the form on the staff drive. Nominations open on October 20th, and must be submitted to Ms. Moore in the Counseling Department by December 17th, 2014. A Northwood committee will review the nominees before submission to ACE. Award recipients will be recognized at the ACE Awards ceremony in the spring.


Keeping Our Kids Safe Online

Mr. Rick Floyd of the GCSD IT department, formerly with the Computer Crimes Division of the Police Department, will speak to Northwood parents, Monday October 27.

The meeting will be held in the Media Center at 6:00pm followed by a brief q/a session.

Northwood Students Collect Tabs for Ronald Mcdonald House

cantabMs. Killinger's class and Ms. Maher's classes are collecting and counting can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House in Greenville which helps sick children and their families. Their goal is to become part of the Million Tab Club. If the school collects 25,000 tabs students will receive a schoolwide dress down day. .....more information
