Welcome to the Special Ed Page! Thank you for visiting the Special Education Team web page. We are delighted to be at Monaview this year. Each child that we teach in special education has an individualized education program written just for him or her. Encompassed in this individualized education program is a plan of action for each child, stating what each child should be able to accomplish by the end of the year through sound instruction in the special education classrooms. A goal we have for our students is to help them realize their place in society and help them find this place, through mainstreaming and including students with special needs in the general education setting as much as possible.
