Mr. Michael Parker, Principal

This year I am entering my twenty third year in the field of education.  I taught science in Miami, Florida at the middle school level for ten years and then served as an Assistant Principal for five years here in upstate South Carolina.  I have a business degree from the University of Tennessee and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.  This is my eighth year serving as Principal of Mauldin Elementary School.

My wife Cheri is a National Board Certified elementary school teacher who is entering her twenty-fifth year of service.  We have been married for twenty-three years.  We have two sons, Nick and Kane.  Nick is a junior at the Citadel this year.  He enjoys the challenges of military life at the Citadel and plans a career in the Navy. Kane is in second grade here at MES this year.  He is full of life and discovery, and keeps us all entertained!  We have one cat named Mini Me and a turtle named Ray. Family Photos->

My first seven years here at Mauldin Elementary have been full of challenges and successes.  I give many thanks to our students, parents, faculty and staff, and community for all that they have done to help me meet those challenges.  I hope that all of you will join me in celebrating these successes.
