Katrina Miller, Assistant Principal

I would like to extend a warm welcome to Mauldin Elementary School.  I am so excited about the 2011-2012 school year.  I love being a part of the Mauldin Elementary School family and love interacting with the students daily.

This is my eighth year at Mauldin Elementary as an assistant principal.  Prior to working at Mauldin Elementary, I taught fifth grade at Fountain Inn Elementary for seven years.  I currently live in Simpsonville with my husband Rick, my daughter Tanisha, my dog Pixie, and my cat Midnight.

I grew up in a small, coal mining town in West Virginia.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood/elementary education from Frostburg State University located in Frostburg, Maryland.  I received my Master’s degree in administration/supervision from Clemson University in 2002.  I enjoy watching football and basketball, reading, gardening, and shopping.  My favorite teams are the Ravens, Vikings, and the West Virginia Mountaineers basketball and football teams.

I also work with Stacey Bullock, Michelle Quinn, and Julie McCain to sponsor the Beta Club for our 5th grade students.  The Beta Club does community service projects, competes at the state and national levels, tutors our younger students, and does various activities to support our school.  Please check out the Beta Club link on our web site.

I look forward to working with the teachers, parents, and students that make up the Mauldin community.  If there is ever anything that I can do to assist you or your child, please call me at 355-3759.

I hope your child has a wonderful, educational experience at Mauldin Elementary School.
