Lifelong Learning's main campus is located at Sullivan Center, 206 Wilkins Street,  Greenville, SC 29605.  Lifelong Learning offers quality programs for those living in our community who wish to get their GED and upgrade their skills.  With the grim economic forecast for the US in the coming months, it is encouraging to know that there are programs like the ones at Lifelong Learning, which will help people succeed and realize their dreams.  Computer classes, Spanish classes, English as a Second Language, English for Parents, and Spanish GED are all part of the quality programs offered through Lifelong Learning at various locations throughout Greenville County.

Greenville County Schools Lifelong Learning GED Center at Sullivan Center

Grand opening ceremony for The GED CenterGreenville, SC – A grand opening ceremony for The GED Center, part of Greenville County Schools Lifelong Learning’s Adult Education and Training program, was held at Sullivan Center, 206 Wilkins Street, Greenville.

The ceremony included remarks by Dr. David Stout, South Carolina Interim Director of Adult Education, Senator Lewis Vaughn, and Debi Bush, Greenville County School Board member. About 75 GED candidates were also in attendance.

Senator Vaughn and Board Member Debi Bush are both GED recipients. They shared their stories with the GED candidates and encouraged them to keep trying, no matter how many obstacles they must overcome.

The new GED Center provides comprehensive, year-round classes to meet the growing needs of adults in the area who do not have a high school diploma.

The GED Center is located at Lifelong Learning’s main campus and satellite centers operate throughout Greenville County.

Students can complete all phases of the comprehensive GED program at The GED Center, including information about the GED; GED assessment and registration; GED preparation classes; Official GED practice tests; GED testing; and a graduation ceremony.   Lifelong Learning had the 6th largest graduating class for 2008 - 2009 in Greenville County.   322 Lifelong Learning students graduated from the Wade Hampton High School Auditorium on May 27, 2011.

What Are GED Tests?

The General Educational Development (GED) tests include five multiple choice tests that measure the general knowledge and thinking skills that are required to earn a high school diploma.

About Lifelong Learning

Lifelong Learning has long been the center of adult education and training for Greenville County Schools. Known for its quality programs and caring instructors, Lifelong Learning was the obvious choice for The GED Center.

The GED Center at Sullivan Center was chosen by the State Department of Education as a  GED testing site for the Upstate.
