When you visit Lake Forest this month you will
notice our newly painted building. The floors are clean and shiny, the
classrooms are clean and teachers are making our building look decorative and inviting.
We have new faculty and staff members to welcome
to our Lake Forest family. In K4 we welcome Ms. Nichole Mugler, our
newest teacher who comes to us from Virginia. In K5 we welcome from
North Carolina Ms. Melissa Bailey as teacher (with Ms. Dawn Wilson
assistant) and Mrs. Carol Ethridge as assistant with Mrs. Peggy Brown.
In first grade our newest member is Mrs. Tricia Pfister, who has also
moved here from North Carolina.
The budget cuts this year resulted in the
elimination of our Science Lab Instructor – Mrs. Mary Linder. I am happy
to report that Mrs. Linder will be working with second and third grade
students in reading. Ms. Kerry Quinn will be our newest LD Resource
teacher, working with Mrs. Garner. Ms. Kena Miller, our computer lab
manager, will be the assistant in Mrs. Melissa Smith’s class as the
budget cuts resulted in the elimination of this position.
We also welcome to our staff Mr. Denis Hertel –
Plant Engineer and Mr. Butch Wardlaw, Custodian.
All of us at Lake Forest look forward to another
great year. We’ve been busy planning activities for the year for all
grade levels. We continue to encourage our families and parents to be
involved in our school.
