March 30, 2011 will end this year's cycle of
Escuela de Padres 2010 at Lakeview Middle School.

Representatives from such organizations as the
Shriner's Hospital for Children, the Social Security Administration, the
Department of Mental Health, American Red Cross, South Carolina Hispanic Chamber
of Commerce, Furman University, Click Magazine, and the Greenville Police
Department come to speak to our parents. Escuela de Padres helps children
do better in school and feel better about themselves.
This initiative
was created by Mauricio Molina and Lillie Duncan of LMS out of a need to help
the Hispanic parents be more aware of their child's needs and how to help them.
To quote Mr. Molina, "The parents need to grow the same way as the children do.
The best teachers are parents."
