Hi, my name is Casie Butler and I am the
Title One
School
Social Worker for
Lakeview
Middle School.
I am employed by The
Greenville
County
School District.
I believe in your child and
their ability to learn. I believe in you as their parent(s), the
critical partner(s) in your child's educational success.
You may be asking yourself, what
is a school social worker? Well, school social workers are the link
between home, school, and community. School social workers provide
unique services to students, famlies, and communities in order to help
students benefit from the school program.

Please read on to learn
more about some of the social work services available to
Lakeview
Middle School
students and their famlies. As a Title One Social Worker, I am here to
serve you and your child in the following ways:
* To provide services to
students or parents concerning school or home related problems.
* To call or visit your
home to discuss any concerns that you may have about your child.
* To help with
transportation to school for conferences with your child's teacher or
principal.
* To work with our Title I Nurse
to help you if your child has a medical or dental need.
* To call or visit your
home to check on your child when he or she is absent from school.
* To provide you with
information concerning community resources.
* To respond with After
Care counseling and social work services in the event of any crisis.
One of my duties as your Title
One Social Worker is to keep the school in touch with the family and the
family in touch with the school.
