The students in Ms. Evans' 3rd grade class are learning about the places in South Carolina.  Ms. Evans began the unit by asking the children what they knew about South Carolina.  The class discussed places that they have been to such as rivers or lakes they have seen. The students drew a picture of anyplace that is special to them in South Carolina. Some of the children have not been outside of Greenville, so the places they know are the mall or a restaurant. Other students have been to a lake in SC or the beach. The unit we are covering is all about communities, natural wonders, and natural resources of SC.
