Evacuations

Normal Fire Drill

When the alarm sounds please do the following:

Get your attendance book, grade book, and Green Room Sheet.
Exit the room with your students. Do not turn on or off any electrical devices including lights.
Go with the students to your designated area and take attendance.
Once the drill is complete, listen / watch for the signal to re-enter the building and continue your class.

Extended Evacuation Due to Fire, or Other Circumstances

When the announcement is made, please do the following:

a. Get your attendance book, grade book, and Green Room Sheet.

Exit the room with your students. Do not turn on or off any electrical devices including lights.
Go with the students to your designated area in the stadium and take attendance.
Once the drill is complete, listen / watch for the signal to re-enter the building and continue your day.

Tornado Drill

When you hear the announcement please do the following:

Get your attendance book, grade book, and Green Room Sheet
Exit the room with your students. Do not turn on or off any electrical devices including lights.
Go with the students to your designated area outside your room, and take attendance.
The students are to sit with their back to the locker / wall with their legs tucked close to their body,

and their head tucked close to their chest.

Once the drill is complete, listen / watch for the signal to re-enter the room, and continue your day.

Shelter in Place

Earthquake Drill

When you hear the announcement please do the following:

Remain in your room except for portables. Those in a portable will move to their Tornado Drill Location.
Immediately have students cover their head and face by using coats, arms, books, and desk.
Listen for instructions of what to do next. If instructed to exit the building, please use the fire drill exit. If it is blocked, please select the closest exit to leave the building.

Toxic Air

When you hear the tone or announcement please do the following:

Remain in your room except for portables. Those in a portable will move to their Tornado Drill Location if safe. An announcement will be made.
Close all windows and doors. Please seal these with duct tape.
Listen for instructions of what to do next. If instructed to exit the building, please use the fire drill exit. If it is blocked, please select the closest exit to leave the building.
