School Improvement Council

The School Improvement Committee meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:45am in the Media Center Conference Room.  The meeting is open to anyone wishing to attend.

"What is a School Improvement Council (SIC)?"
A School Improvement Council, or SIC as it is commonly called, began over 20 years ago by the South Carolina legislature as a way to ensure that parents and community members had a voice in the education of their children. This committee is comprised of school administration and personnel, as well as parents and community leaders. Some members are elected, while others are appointed, but everyone is welcome to attend. Some of the responsibilities of Mann's SIC are:

to assist in the preparation of the five year school plan and required annual updates
to assist with the development and monitoring of school improvement and innovation
to develop an annual school report to the constituents of the school that provides information on the school's progress on meeting the school and district goals and objectives to provide assistance as the principal may request, as well as carry out any other duties prescribed by the school board.
