Circulation Policies

The Hillcrest Middle School Media Center has books, magazines, newspapers, reference materials, and computers available for student use.                                                

Checkout Policies:                                                             

Students may check out four books and keep them for two weeks.

Books may be returned as soon as the student is finished with them.  Late books are assessed a fine of 5¢ per day.  Fines do not accumulate on weekends or holidays.

Reference Books may be checked out overnight only. They may be checked out after 6th period and must be returned before 1st period the next day.  Reference Books will not be checked out over weekends and will be assessed a fine of 50¢ per day if not returned by 1st period. 

Lost or damaged books will be charged the replacement cost for the same title or a comparable book.
