1. A completed District Registration Form.

2. An official copy of a Birth Certificate.

3. A Social Security Card (optional).

4. Proof of residence: landline phone bill, electric bill or gas bill with home address.

5. A valid SC Certificate of Vaccination

6. If child does not live with both natural parents, you will need proof of custody or guardianship.

7. A complete Emergency Contact Form.

Only a parent or legal guardian can enroll a child in school.

High School Course

Attendance Requirements

If your student is currently taking a high school credit course here at HMS, please take note of the following information:

Students who are in high school credit classes (English I, Geometry, Algebra I, and French) must adhere to the high school attendance requirements.  The rule states that any absence beyond the tenth absence IN THE CLASS ITSELF must be documented by a physician, a court appearance, or by an administrator in the school.  A student may lose credit for excessive absences even if he or she has a passing average in the class.

Beginning in 2008, students who do not pass literature must go to summer school and take the English/Language Arts class there in order to be promoted to the next grader.

SCOIS is South Carolina's Occupational Information System.  Each student is assigned a unique username and password.  To access SCOIS as a parent, enter the following information:

Username: Your student's username plus the letter p

Password:  Your student's password plus the letter p

Site ID:  SC

Bus Schedule

School bus transportation is available to students who live 1.5 miles or farther from their assigned school.
