These banners were done through the Art 2
"Artist for Hire" program at HHS over the past two years. The Media
Center "hired" art students to fulfill specifications as they would
have to through an advertising agency. The goal of the project was
to illustrate the different genres available for reading through the
HHS Media Center. The banners will soon be hung with name plates
under them around the Media Center circulation desk. They will hang
there for years to come thus enabling eleven students to leave their
artistic contribution to their school as well as their legacy.
Special thanks to Debbie Webster, Misty Gosnell and Joy Danigel for
giving HHS Art students this wonderful opportunity, providing the
art materials (including large amounts of canvas and acrylic paints)
and encouraging feedback. THANKS to the following student artists
for sharing their talent with all who enter our first- class Media
Center: Natalie Rushing, Ross "Fin" Satterfield, Tory Graves, Rainy
Campbell, Allison Lawrence, Hayden King, Rose Fenton, Carly
Abercrombie, Micaella Colombo, Sam McCauley and Rachel Sinnett.
