SPANISH CLASSES VISIT THE HIGH MUSEUM IN ATLANTA

Eighty six Spanish 3 students took advantage of an opportunity to travel to the High Museum in Atlanta to see a special exhibit highlighting Mexican artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. The exhibit, "Frida and Diego: Passion, Politics and Paintings" brought together works of the prolific and culturally significant married couple in an once-in-a-lifetime showcase. Spanish 3 students studied both painters during the Art Unit this year, and were able to experience the power of seeing their original artwork expertly compiled and annotated by audio guide. Ask students about the trip, or experience it for yourself at the High Museum (through May 12, 2013)!
