Law Education is the study of
different types of laws, their development, and their role in a
democratic society. Emphasis will be placed on citizen rights and
responsibilities, law enforcement, the judicial system, liberty and
justice. Topics include criminal law, juvenile justice, torts,
consumer, family and housing law, and individual rights and
responsibilities. This course focuses on the interpretation of cases
and law enforcement procedures. Students must be active participants
in discussions and simulations. A social studies credit will be
earned at the completion of this class. THIS COURSE IS TO BE TAKEN
ALONG WITH ENGLISH-GS.
