Third grade students learned many new and exciting things about Japan when Yoshiko Moon came to visit our school. Thanks to the Greenview PTA and a grant from the Fine Arts Center, we were able to have Sumi-e, or Japanese ink painting, artist Yoshiko Moon teach our students for a week. We learned about calligraphy, paining with ink, kimonos, Japanese language and customs, paper marbling, paper making and origami. We had a great time!
