Clarification of School Policy
Parents Visiting for Lunch
We love to have parents come eat with their children. You may bring outside food for your child but we just ask that you eat in one of three designated areas in the cafeteria. This will help to not make other students uncomfortable for not being allowed the same access to such meals. If you are eating one of our cafeteria's prepared meals you may feel free to sit with the class or in these other areas. This welcome applies also to all relatives of our students. We look forward to meeting and seeing you throughout the year.
Dress Code Revisions
While attending Greer Middle School, parents and students should be aware that student dress and appearance should not distract from the learning environment. The administration will determine what is appropriate dress or accessories while the student is in school. Parents will be called and asked to bring a change of clothes for students found in violation of the Dress Code. If parents are unable to bring clothing the student may be assigned In-School Suspension (ISS) for the day. A parent conference may be required to discuss the appropriateness of attire. Students will face suspension for repeat violations. Please click here to view the complete letter about the dress code from Mr. Ruthsatz.
