When I'm in the editor program, I'm missing my icons and/or my curser is doing some "weird" things. How can I fix this?
Computers with screen resolutions set lower than 800x600 have this problem. It is best to set your computer's resolution to something higher than 800x600. Use the folloiwng steps to do this:
- Minimize all programs so that only your desktop is showing.
- "Right-click" on a blank area of your desktop and choose "Properties".
- Click the "Settings" tab.
- Move the Screen Resolution slider so that it is higher than 800 X 600 (1024x760 is good).
- Click "Apply"
My editor "times out" and I lose everything I've been working on. How can this be resolved?
This issue can be resolved when you login to your website by clicking on the checkbox, "This is a private computer". Only do this if you are on your own computer which is not shared. This could be a home or school computer. If you are using a public or shared computer, make sure the checkbox "This is a public or shared computer" is checked. On a shared computer, there is a time out period set for security reasons. If you are on a private computer, this should not be a problem - you should have plenty of time.
Do not upload pictures or files to the folders, "Pages" or "Unit Attachments" or "Lesson Attachments". These folders are used by the Lesson Planner and are not public folders - they will not work to display content on your website.
How can I fix the problem with my images not showing on my website?
An administrator (teachers are admins on their own site), must open any pages with problems and click "update". Then they must click "publish". This should fix the problem.

I'm a new teacher. How do I apply for a website?
Websites are automatically assigned to new teachers once they are added to the active directory - shortly after being hired.
I've changed my name. How will this affect my website?
The new website tool is integrated with active directory, so that changes in the active directory (such as name changes) will automatically take effect in the teacher website tool. If you have a completely new website and missing content from your previous website, complete the Website Trouble Form and this content will be migrated from your old site.
When going to my pages I consistently get a message, "Contains both secure and non secure items do you want to display the non-secure items". How can I stop this?
- Go to Tools, Internet Options.
- Select the "Security" Tab and then click on the "Custom Level" button.
- Scroll down until you see the option: "Display mixed content". Select "Enable".
- Click Ok. Then you will get a "Security Warning" pop-up. Click Yes.
