“The Board of Trustees of Greenville County Schools is uniquely positioned to provide leadership and legislative advocacy for school boards and districts across the state of South Carolina.”
Chair, Quality Assurance Review Team
AdvancED Accreditation Commission
As representatives of the largest school district in South Carolina and the 50th largest in the United States, your Greenville County Board of Trustees plays an important role in promoting strong public policy for our schools and schools across our State.
Your School Board’s support of public education includes ongoing advocacy planning and action. The School Board closely monitors legislation so they can both inform and work with the Greenville County Legislative Delegation and other elected officials regarding the impact of legislation on local students and citizens.
In an effort to keep interested citizens informed on legislative issues impacting our schools, the School Board’s legislative focus is shown in their 2012 Legislative Statements. The Board’s position on legislation being considered by the South Carolina Legislature is summarized in their Eye on Legislation e-notices.
