What Is Accelerated Reader?

Accelerated Reader is a computerized reading program. The purpose of Accelerated Reader is to encourage students to read. This program also checks comprehension and encourages students to think about what they are reading.

1. The students choose and read AR books. These books are marked with AR stickers in the school library.

2. The students takes quizzes on any school computer.

3. The students earn points for each quiz they pass. Prizes are awarded for different point clubs.
