from Our Principals

Dear Fountain Inn Families,

Happy Valentine’s Day! What an exciting time of year. The children are all busy in their classrooms, cutting out hearts and making that little something for that special someone. Again this year, the BETA Club will be sponsoring the “Candy Gram” sale. The dates for ordering your candy grams will be from February 6 through 11th. All Candy Grams will be delivered on Valentine’s Day. What a wonderful way to show your support to our BETA Club and at the same time tell someone how special they are.

I want to take this opportunity to thank our School Improvement Council, PTA and Fountain Inn families for supporting our Project Christmas Child event in December. Thanks to our community, we were able to provide a wonderful Christmas for 16 families and 36 children. What a tremendous outpouring of support which makes our school and community to special.

The PTA will once again sponsor the Fountain Inn’s got Talent, talent show on March 1st. The show will be held at the Fountain Inn civic Center and tickets for admission are $3.00. Applications for the talent show are available on the school’s web site or feel free to stop in and pick one up in the front office. All act previews will be held at the school on Friday, February 10th.

In March we will kick off our incentive program for encouraging increased student achievement for all of our students. Our theme this year is “Light, Camera, Action”, based upon the Hollywood song. We will be taking on a Hollywood theme as we work with our students every day to achieve our goals for the school year. Students in all grades will help us to meet our goal, and together we will celebrate with an awesome outing at the end of the year.

We will be celebrating Multi Cultural month throughout the month of February. We will focus on activities for Black History month including an assembly on February 24th, a Chinese New Year celebration on February 13th, and a school wide diversity activity including all of our students on February 10th. Please ask your children throughout the month about activities going on at our school.
