partnership with the PTA, the Fork Shoals Library Media Center is offering a program that will help
our our library collection grow, the Occasion/Birthday Gift Book
Program. We welcome your help!

Consider adding a book to our
collection:

 to
honor your child's birthday |
in
honor (or memory) of a grandparent, special friend, family member |
|
to
honor a special teacher |
as part
of your holiday giving |

|
To reduce the number of duplications, and ensure the
integrity and vitality of our school's collection,
please help us select books in the following ways:

Select
a book from our library's wish list and send a check made out to Fork
Shoals School in the amount of the price of the book you selected. Prices
are listed for AR quizzes if wish to purchase the AR quiz for this book also.
A copy of the wish list is at the circulation desk and posted on our website.
We can email or fax the list to you. Please pick both a first- and
second-choice title in the event that someone has already chosen your
selection. |

Ask to
see a copy of age-appropriate award-winning booklists from our state and
national library associations. |
|
Make a
donation toward the purchase of new books in the amount of your choice. You
may contact the library media specialist to discuss book
choices--titles, genre, etc. |
|
Please
make note that all donated materials must meet the same selection criteria
used when selecting new items purchased. Any items not meeting the criteria
in our library media center collection development policy, will be passed on
to another organization or teacher who will be able to use the donated
material. We appreciate your support and understanding that our
responsibility is to build a quality collection of current materials that
support the instructional goals of our school. |

A bookplate will be placed in your gift book and your child
will have the opportunity to be the first borrower! Your generous gift will
also be recognized on our Fork Shoals Morning News Show and in our LMC
newsletters. |
