There are 5 self-contained special education classes at East North Street Academy.  There are 2 EMD classes and 3 TMD classes.  Each class is taught by one teacher and one or two aides.  The curriculum is basic skills based and taught on the students' individual levels.  An Individual Education Plan (I.E.P.) is developed for each student and is updated quarterly and reviewed annually.

East North Street Academy has one full-time resource teacher and one part-time resource teacher.  This pull-out program assists students in kindergarten through fifth grades.  Students work in small groups on skills that are considered deficit areas.  The amount of time that each student stays in resource class is pre-determined at an I.E.P meeting with a parent, a teacher, a support services teacher and an administrator.
