Contest Get those creative juices flowing—it’s time for a poetry contest. February is Black History Month and Presidents Day. Help us celebrate by entering our school-wide poetry contest. This year’s topic is “Heroes.” Any Ellen Woodside student can enter the competition simply by submitting an original poem about their hero or heroes in general. (Only one poem per child, please.) The poem may be of any length and in any style. Each poem must include student’s name, homeroom teacher, grade, and a title. All entries must be completed by March 3, 2008. Entries will be judged for their originality, creativity, and artistic quality.
