Eastside Tardy Policy
As of 11-08-2010

Beginning Monday, November 8th, 2010 the official Eastside Tardy Policy is as follows and is for all classes (1st through 7th):

Definition of Tardy:
When the bell, indicating the start of class, stops ringing and the student is outside the class room, he/she is officially tardy.

Actions Taken:
Student is asked for his/her handbook. On page 50-51 are three (3) tardy passes per semester. If the student has one available, the teacher will sign the pass and the student will be admitted to class. If the student does not have one available or does not have a handbook (for any reason), then the teacher will fill out a detention form and assign the day of detention (either Tuesday or Friday from 4:00pm to 5:00pm). The teacher will have the student sign the detention form and give the student the top (white) copy.

Detention starts promptly at 4:00pm in room C 129. At 4:00 the door will be closed and locked and the student will not be admitted. The student will then be assigned another detention which will bring his/her total to two detentions to be served.
