Attention all who want to be a part of the EHS DECA chapter: You must turn in your forms packet to an advisor, complete the Google Form, and join both Google Classroom & sportsYou by next Friday, October 9. Failure to compete each step listed above, means that you will not be in DECA for the 2026 - 2027 school year. Please see Mrs. Galli, Mr. Grigsby, or Ms. Worthy for any questions.
Class of 2027: If you have not taken your senior portraits yet, it's time to schedule your appointment!

Tuxedos and drapes will be provided.
**All senior portraits must be taken by November 2, 2026,* to be included in the yearbook.
The Eastside Gardening Club will meet Tuesday, October 6th to plant veggies and flowers! Come join us in the courtyard after school.

America 250: In honor of America's 250th Birthday, students in grades Pre-K through 12 are invited to participate in this district wide celebration through poetry, speech, song, dance, artwork, photography and essay! America 250 Coordinators are assigned at each school. Deadline for students to enter is October 30.

GCS AP Review Day will take place at Eastside High School on Saturday, April 24, 2027 from 10:00- 2:00 PM. Students will have the opportunity to attend up to three targeted review sessions throughout the day. They can build their own schedule by selecting sessions that best fit their AP courses and individual areas of need. At the beginning of January, we will provide a student registration link.
PTSA is hosting another Fun Friday on Friday, October 2nd! They will be selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts for $1/each and $10/dozen before school. During lunch, Chick fil A Sandwiches will be $6 and combos will be $8 for a sandwich, chips and a drink. They take credit card, Apple pay or cash. Bring your money and your appetite for Krispy Kreme doughnuts and Chick-fil-A sandwiches! They can’t wait to see you there!
Eastside students, the 2026 – 2027 Reflections Contest has begun! If you enjoy art, music and dance, or have an interest in writing, producing films, and taking photos; then consider submitting an entry into our Reflections Contest. Students are allowed to enter multiple times. There are prizes for finishing in the top two of each category!
Submissions are due January 8th, 2027. We are looking forward to seeing all of our student entries!
