Eastside Football Interest and Parent Meeting: This meeting is for all rising 7th-12th graders that plan on playing at Eastside High School this Fall. Interested in seeing what Marching Band or Color Guard is all about? Join us for Spring Camp April 13–15 from 4:15 PM-6:00 PM in the Band Room! Students will learn basic skills, meet staff and current members, and get a preview of what the marching season is like. No experience required—just come ready to learn and have fun while trying something new!

Eastside delivered an outstanding performance at the CWEA event this past Saturday 3/14, at Byrnes HS. The team earned an impressive 2nd Place finish in their class—achieving not only their highest score and placement of the season, but also the highest score and placement in Eastside history. These remarkable students have worked incredibly hard, pushing themselves to reach new goals and break program records. Thank you to everyone who supported them throughout this season—your encouragement made a difference. Congratulations to the team on an unforgettable accomplishment!
SENIORS! If you plan on bringing a non-EHS student to prom, you and your guest must fill out a Prom Guest Form and turn it in by April 10th! It requires multiple signatures and a copy of your guest's photo ID. You must also pay off any debt. Prom tickets are $40 and go on sale starting Monday, 4/13. Email Ms. Bass with any questions!
Blood Drive Reminders: This is the last blood drive of the year. The Blood Connection will be at Eastside on Friday, April 10th. Please encourage your students age 16 or older to sign-up during lunch April 7th & 8th. Donors will receive $30 in rewards. Our school will be eligible for a $500 grant, and any student who donates 3 times before graduation will earn a red graduation cord. Seniors, this is the last chance to earn your cord!

IMPORTANT DIRECTIONS for Paying Debt on My School Bucks
**Be aware that your student debt WILL NOT APPEAR when you log in to MySchoolBucks--you will have to manually add fees you owe to the "cart" using the correct category under the "DEBT" section (Science fee, ID, lost book, etc.). The directions linked above in red will tell you how to check your debt amount AND what categories to choose in My School Bucks for each type of debt. ALL DEBT must be paid to be eligible to purchase a parking permit, Homecoming Dance, or Prom ticket.
Parents/Guardians: Please take a few minutes to complete the South Carolina Department of Education School Climate Survey! The survey may be accessed via your Backpack for Parents account on the My Students page. Simply click on the School Climate Survey link. One survey for each of your students may be completed! Thank you, we appreciate your input!
On February 25-28, 41 students went to Charleston, SC for DECA State Competition. They came home with 7 top 16, 8 top 10, one 2nd place winner and one 1st place team winner. We are so proud of how far these students have come in the past year. Good Luck to our 2nd place and 1st place winners as they will be traveling to Atlanta, GA in April to compete at the International Career and Development Conference.

WIN Ready2Work Career Assessment
Wednesday, April 1, 2026 @ 8:45am
This test is required for all actively enrolled third year students (typically 11th graders). Students will take all four components of the assessment (Work Ready Math, Reading, Data, and Soft Skills) during the test day. WIN’s Work Ready Assessments provide a valid indicator of career readiness and essential soft skills for South Carolina Department of Education and South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce. All eligible students, including GCS Virtual Program (GCSVP), must be tested.

Lexia Learning Lab is now available to students who want to work on Lexia English before school! You may work in Ms. Crowley's room (211) between 7:45 and 8:30 AM Monday-Friday. Just bring your charged chromebook. A special day is planned for all those who complete four levels by May 15th!
