GCSD Job Fair on Tuesday, February 24th
HR Operations will host a job fair on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 5-7 pm at Plain Elementary on 506 Neely Ferry Road in Simpsonville, SC.
This event will focus on hiring bus drivers, bus aides, custodians, and food service operators, and special education classroom aides. Please see the flyer for full information.
Attention Seniors: SEC School Day Game and College & Career Fair
Any senior student interested in attendance the SEC school day tournament game and college and career fair on March 5th, must pick up and complete a permission slip by February 22nd. These permission slips were emailed to all senior students and if needed, can be picked up in the counseling office. There are 150 available slots for interested students and is completely free.
WIDA ACCESS Testing Information: UPDATED on 2.2.26 Test Dates:
Listening & Reading: February 6th (Friday)
Writing: February 11th (Wednesday)
Speaking: Feb. 17th - 24th
Makeup testing will occur throughout the testing window.
*This test is for students whose primary language is not English. These students and parents will receive a backpack notification from Coach Watson before testing begins. Students' specific testing locations and times will be delivered to them. Please visit Coach Watson's website for more information.
As of 1/30/26, there are only 290 books left for the entire school! Order now to ensure you have a book; payment plans are available to purchase the book in three easy installments! The Career Center Application Window is now officially open for students to apply and will close on 2/27/26. *Current Bonds students who are enrolled in the first year of a two-year program do not need to reapply. Students interested in applying also need to let their counselors know so it is included in their course request for next school year. Please see your counselor if you have additional questions.
**Be aware that your student debt WILL NOT APPEAR when you log in to MySchoolBucks--you will have to manually add fees you owe to the "cart"using the correctcategory under the "DEBT" section (Science fee, ID, lost book, etc.). The directions linked above in red will tell you how to check your debt amount ANDwhat categories to choose in My School Bucks for each type of debt. ALL DEBT must be paid to be eligible to purchase a parking permit, Homecoming Dance, or Prom ticket.
Lexia Learning Lab: Improve Your English Proficiency
Lexia Learning Lab is now available to students who want to work on Lexia English before school! You may work in Ms. Crowley's room (211) between 7:45 and 8:30 AM Monday-Friday. Just bring your charged chromebook. A special day is planned for all those who complete four levels by May 15th!
