| Our third
graders are getting those six regions of South Carolina down pat.
They can all tell you that “Blue People Sit In Orange Chairs,” which
helps them to remember the order of the regions: Blue Ridge,
Piedmont, Sandhills, Inner Coastal Plains, Outer Coastal Plains, and
Coastal Zone. They can also tell you the special features of each
region – from landforms to regional jobs. Now it is time for our
culminating activity to celebrate all of our new knowledge. We
decorated South Carolina cookies with each cookie showing a
different region feature. |
