Cherrydale Elementary School celebrated its 2nd annual Literacy Week, February 1-5, 2010, with a host of guest readers from the District Office, Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, and Barnes and Noble. Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher, Superintendent of the Greenville County Schools, read the book “You Can’t Move a Hippo” by Michael Catchpool to Mr. Terrell Brown’s first grade class and the book "Thank You, Mr. Falker" by Patricia Polacco to Ms. McGee's single-gender fourth grade class.
