America The Beautiful

During their IB Unit on "How We Express Ourselves" Ms. Posley's kindergarten class was ask to write a poem in their own words describing the beauty of America.  They did such a great job that they decided to share them:

By:  Malia B.

The American flag is made of red.
This is when George Washington led.
The American flag is made of blue.
This is where the bald eagle flew.
The American flag is made of white.
The Statue of Liberty watches us at night.

By:  Elias F.

America has nice people.
Flowers are pretty.
The sky is beautiful.

By:  Dominique S.

America is beautiful and this is why there are fifty states under a light blue sky.
Mountains topped with snow two oceans

of blue with many things to see and a lot

more for me to do.

By:  Nicolas Z.

The grass is green.
The water is clean.
