Khalil

Khalil is a third grade student in Mrs. Jester's class. He is 8 years old and was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina. He has an older brother who is in high school. Khalil's favorite food is pizza with cheese and pepperoni. When he grows up, Khalil would like to be  a wrestler because he wants to be a champion.

Dear Mom and Dad,
You'll never guess what my class did today. We went to a baseball game to learn about friction! I learned that friction is everywhere. A force is a push or pull, and a push can move something. Friction is what keeps us from sliding all over the place. It's all over us. A push or a pull can change our position. Friction is needed to keep us safe. The teacher teached me forces and friction that is how I learned it in class. I also learned that when you move you also change your position. I hope we learn some more about this. It was fun because we got to watch a video. See you at home. I hope you like my letter.

                                                                                                              Love,
                                                                                                              Khalil
