Assistant PrincipalMs. Lesley King I grew up in Rock Hill, SC and attended St. Anne’s School, Rawlinson Road Jr. High and Northwestern High School. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Clemson University in Elementary Education. I graduated with a Masters of Arts Degree in School Leadership/Administration from Furman University in August of 2003. This is my fifth year as the Assistant Principal at Robert E. Cashion Elementary. Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal, I taught 6th grade math at Oakway Middle school in Oconee County and 7th grade math at Hughes Academy in Greenville County. I served as the Administrative Assistant and Assistant Principal at Grove Elementary for 5 years. I am a trained ADEPT and PAS-T evaluator, with training in other instructional methods such as Learning-Focused, curriculum mapping and differentiated instruction. I have assisted in the implementation of programs such as Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. It is my belief that all educators should be lifelong learners who inspire learning and positive change. A favorite quote of mine is: “What the best and wisest parent wants for his own child, that must the community want for all it’s children” by John Dewey, The School and Society, 1899. I believe all students can learn and achieve. |
