AJROTC Cadets "Aim High" At Dobbins
   
    
Forty of our finest AFJROTC Cadets earned their wings on 13 April 2010. Our cadets were selected to fly on a military aircraft at Dobbins ARB for its annual JROTC C-130 Orientation Flights on 13 Apr 10. Over 30 High Schools with JROTC programs from Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina participated in the two day event.
AJROTC Cadets Deploy to Ft. Jackson
   
  
Carolina's AFJROTC cadets traveled to Fort Jackson on 26 April 2010. The cadets were invited to Fort Jackson for an Orientation Tour. The cadets were able to observe Army Basic Training soldiers performing Confidence Training and Team Development Training. In addition, they visited the Chaplain's Museum and ate lunch at the Military Dining Facility.
AJROTC Participate in Massing of the Colors
 
Sunday, March 7th, the CHS Air Force Junior ROTC participated in the annual Massing of the Colors. This event, sponsored by the Scottish Rite Freemasons, gave distinct honor to our Nation's Flag, recognized those that have fought for our Flag and our freedoms with WWII, Korean & Vietnam era veterans in the audience. In addition they applauded all the instructors and students from the surrounding counties high schools with ROTC units present for teaching this upcoming generation what the flag is all about.
2010 Military Ball Is A Success

AFJROTC 2010 Military Ball was held at the Embassy Suites on 20 Feb 2010. Carolina, Berea, Blue Ridge, Greenville, Southside and Wade Hampton High Schools Junior ROTC programs participated in the seventh annual JROTC Military Ball. Over 450 cadets representing all six schools attended the largest Greenville County School District AFJROTC Military Ball. The Military Ball custom began before World War II, and is a tradition that still holds strong in the U.S. Air Force today. It enhances the esprit de corps of a unit through an atmosphere of camaraderie, good fellowship, food, and fun.
