BMS Athletes Visit local Health Club, LiviNsideout

The girls and boys basketball teams took a tour of the Livnnsidout Wellness Complex on Thursday, April 16, 2009. They learned about careers related to sports and wellness including nutritionist, personal training, athletic agility training and the business aspect of sports/wellness clubs.

BMS Talent Show 2009

The Annual BMS Talent Show allowed students to display their unique talents. A tie for 1st place between Mya Machen and Josh Harris duet, Stephanie Newton: solo. There was also a tie for 2nd place- Missy McClintock on the piano, Abby Elledge, Brianna Carlton, and Bailey Nelson with their Hip Hop Dance Routine. 3rd place- Katie-Laken Weeks for her Clogging Dance Routing.
 


Spring Sports Opening Day

BMS boys and girls soccer, baseball, and softball all opened their spring season against Mauldin. The boy's soccer and girl's softball were victorious.
 


BMS Students Go to Robotics Competition

The BMS Robotics teams ( RoboDogs and RoboGators) are competed at Clemson's Littlejohn Coliseum in the First Lego league State Championship! Having won Teamwork and Robotics design awards at the Regional both teams represented us well!

The boy's basketball team played in the Greenville County Championship Game at Mauldin High School against Greenville Middle Academy.
 


Miss BMS Pageant

Girls from the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades participated in the BMS Pageant as part of Hillcrest High School's Spirit Week. The 6th grade winner is Sarah Bustamante, the 7th grade winner is Amber Morton, the 8th grade winner is Sydney Smith and Miss Bryson was a tie between Haley Breazeale and Stephanie Newton.

Beta Club Convention 2008

The Bryson Middle School Beta Club took twenty-eight students to Myrtle Beach to attend the 75th Beta Club convention. The students competed in academic exercises in spelling, social studies, science and math. The convention is also a place where students can showcase their talents in arts and crafts, drama and theater.
 


ATS Helps 6th Graders Appreciate Problem Solving

Advanced Technology Services, Inc. (ATS) helps students learn about manufacturing and assembly line maintenance by having students compete to make a product made from tinker toys. Each student is a machine on the assembly line. When machines "break down" students have to solve a math problem to get their line running again. Students learn the importance of problem solving in the classroom and in the workplace.

Parent & Career Night at BMS

The theme was "YOUR FUTURE". Students and parents from the community had an opportunity to meet and talk with representatives from area and magnet high schools, businesses representing the 16 career clusters, and a few colleges. The cluster representatives included veterinarian, SC House Representative, author, physical therapist, sports/fitness center manager, engineer, SC Employment Security Commission (info on job forecasts in SC) among others.

Students participated in Spirit Week activities to help raise money for the PTSA. Daily special events included: Hat Day, Sunglasses Day, and Flannel PJ Day. Other activities included a faculty dunking booth, concessions sales, and raffle drawings.

2008 Related Arts Fall Festival

The BMS Related Arts Department recently hosted its 2nd Annual Fall Festival. Students, Parents, Teachers, and family members were invited to experience the different courses offered at BMS. Students got to show off thier work and creative projects.
