Bryson's Carline
Our school carline is a SMOKE FREE and a CELLPHONE FREE ZONE. Please do not use your
cellphone while in the carline, as studies show that drivers using a
cellphone are at a greater risk of being involved in or causing an accident
than drivers not using a cellphone. Drivers talking on a cellphone are at a
4x greater risk; dialing a cellphone are 6x more likely to be involved in an
accident; and texting are 23x more likely to be involved in an accident than
drivers not using a cellphone. For the safety of all Bryson students,
please observe the CELLPHONE FREE ZONE!!
Parent Portal Our district updated the Parent Portal. In order to take advantage of this tool, you must obtain an access ID and password. Because this information is confidential, you must pick up the access ID and password in person at our school and show proper identification as requested. Access to this online tool will enable you to monitor your child’s grades (2nd-5th grades only) on a daily basis as teachers enter them into our grading system. This will allow you to more closely monitor your child’s progress. You can access this resource by clicking on the Portal link on the top right side of the page. There is also a Parent Guide link located in the Bryson Bear Links box on the home page.
Bryson closes the gap on academic achievement!! The Palmetto Gold and Silver Awards Program was established by the Education Accountability Act of 1998. As an important part of the education
accountability system in South Carolina, the Awards program is designed to recognize and reward “schools for attaining high levels of absolute performance and schools for attaining high rates of improvement.” Bryson is proud to announce we have received the Palmetto Silver Award.
Congratulations to our Teacher of the Year! Paula Williams was announced Teacher of the Year on Tuesday, November 23. Mrs. Williams is a third grade teacher at Bryson.
Mrs. Williams (right) is presented with flowers as was our last year's Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Connor (left).
