The School Improvement Council consists of parents, students, teachers, and staff.  The council was initiated by the state legislature in 1977.  Since that time legislation has been passed to further involve the SIC in planning, monitoring, and evaluating the improvement at the school level.  Each year the council is responsible for publishing an annual report.
