Natural Lines

Second grade artists discussed the natural lines and shapes found in trees and viewed photographs, drawings and paintings of trees. Then, these second grade artists drew a tree from memory with glue, concentrating on the roots and branches.  When the glue was dry, second graders PRINTED their glue  line trees first with white paint and then with black paint and discussed the positive/negative effect between the two
